Christmas brought me to a Costa del Sol resort, with endless sunshine, warm weather and beaches; the sheer relief of being able to speak in my normal accent at a normal speed again, of being able to talk about home, of cooking in an actual kitchen, eating fresh fish, mangos, prawns, of late night chats, free shots at petrol stations (yes, WTF indeed), and midnight frolicking by the pool.
What can I say? Tough life.
