What I read: May, June, July 2013

This is bad. As I went gallivanting towards the Orient in May-June, I fell out of my “reading rhythm”.

In the last three months, I’ve only managed to read two books. Thankfully, both were excellent. Peter Hessler is so frighteningly accurate in his portrayal of rural and industrial China that I wish I could’ve said it all first. And Anna Funder just breaks my heart every time I read one of her books. Highly recommended.

  1. Country Driving: A Journey Through China From Farm To Factory, by Peter Hessler

  2. All That I Am, by Anna Funder
